Rewards Programs

How FNBO Rewards Actually Work

We break down every earn mechanism, redemption pathway, and fine-print rule so you know exactly what you're signing up for — no marketing spin.

Earning Points & Cash Back

FNBO cards split into two reward structures: points-based (Travel Rewards, Business) and flat cash back (Evergreen). Points cards use category multipliers — travel and dining typically earn 2x–3x — while the Evergreen card keeps things simple with a consistent 1.5{e020dbc3809a1a3095cc0a95d971ba07c57c599d3d3f2cbee10c61dbcf4b5deb} on every dollar. The Platinum and Secured cards offer minimal rewards, positioned as entry-level or credit-building products.

Redemption Options

Travel

Book flights, hotels, and car rentals directly through FNBO's travel portal. Points typically redeem at 1 cent each, with select transfers to airline partners.

Cash Back

Statement credit or direct deposit to a linked bank account. No minimum threshold for the Evergreen card; $25 minimum applies to points cards.

Gift Cards

Retail and restaurant gift cards available through the rewards portal, often at 1 cpp but occasional 10–20{e020dbc3809a1a3095cc0a95d971ba07c57c599d3d3f2cbee10c61dbcf4b5deb} bonus promotions appear seasonally.

Expiry & Forfeiture Rules

Points on FNBO Travel Rewards cards do not expire as long as your account remains open and in good standing. Cash back on the Evergreen card similarly has no expiry. However, closing your account forfeits all unredeemed rewards — redeem before you close. Points are also forfeited if your account becomes 60+ days delinquent.

Our Methodology

How We Rate
FNBO Credit Cards

frbo-cards applies the same three-pillar framework to every card we review — consistently, transparently, and free of issuer influence. Here's exactly how the numbers come together.

01

Rewards Value

We convert every reward — points, miles, or cash back — into a real-dollar figure based on verified redemption benchmarks. We account for bonus categories, statement credits, transfer partners, and realistic spend patterns for everyday Americans, not just frequent flyers. What you see is what a typical cardholder can actually pocket, not a best-case-scenario inflated by airline sweet spots.

Redemption Value

Benchmarked to current market rates

Category Multipliers

Mapped to average U.S. household spend

Bonus Offer Worth

Calculated at minimum-spend threshold

02

Fees & APR

Annual fees, foreign transaction charges, balance transfer costs, and variable APR ranges are laid out without euphemism. We run a first-year and ongoing net-value analysis — subtracting every cost from every benefit — so you know exactly when a card earns its keep and when the math simply doesn't work. If a card's fee structure is punishing, we say so plainly.

Net Annual Value

Benefits minus all fees, year one and beyond

APR Range

Full variable range per FNBO disclosures

Hidden Costs

Balance transfer, foreign, cash-advance fees

03

Approval Accessibility

Credit scores, income requirements, and existing FNBO relationship status all influence approval odds. We clearly indicate the recommended credit tier for each card and explain what factors FNBO weighs most heavily in its underwriting. We also flag whether pre-qualification tools are available, so you can check your chances without a hard inquiry denting your score.

Credit Tier

Good, Very Good, or Excellent — clearly labeled

Pre-Qualification

Soft-pull options noted where available

Key Eligibility Factors

Income, existing accounts, utilization
